Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium
The Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium is a long-standing collaboration between the Nordic Film Days and the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema. Over two days, participants can expect short lectures, discussions, and film talks. The colloquium is aimed at students, academics, and film enthusiasts with a particular focus on Nordic cinema.
As usual, the colloquium will cover a wide range of films and topics. This year, the thematic focus will be on the interplay between art and film, based on the festival's retrospective “Light Magic and Color Magic. Painterly Influences in Nordic Cinema.” All contributions and discussion formats are listed in the detailed colloquium program.
The colloquium is curated by Anders Marklund, lecturer in film studies at Lund University and editor of the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema (Intellect), in collaboration with Tobias Hochscherf, professor of audiovisual media at Kiel University of Applied Sciences and the University of Flensburg.
