The way to unity is through the stomach! Experience an extravaganza of film, theatre, and the culinary arts in an urban space. As darkness descends, a trailer becomes both screen and stage. An East-West family prepares a meal for the arriving clan for the 35th anniversary of German re-unification. Between misunderstandings, humour, and profound reflection, it is all about joint history, prejudices, and solidarity. The actors step out of the film live and deal with issues of identity, cohabitation, and memory directly with the audience. At the end, the Unity Menu is served – as a culinary symbol of understanding.
