Dancing with Dead Animals

Maarten Isaäk de Heer was shocked by the multitude of dead animals in his immediate surroundings. Masses of lifeless fruit flies. Slain mice that his cat brought home. Over a period of six months, he documented the dead animals and scanned their partially decomposed bodies in 3D. His 360°dome projection brings them back to life – strange and disturbing, yet beautiful.
The film is part of a longer programme.
