Samir lives in Hamburg, where he studies, shares a flat, and hangs out with friends at the harbour and in the neighbourhood. One day, a letter with serious consequences arrives in the post. His application for residency has been rejected, and he is to be deported. It’s a shock that he finds hard to share with others. But he is not alone, and those around him aren’t giving him up without a fight.
The film is part of the short film programme Filmforum Shorts: Being there.
