Hommage, Norway 1995, 86 Min., norw. OV, engl. st

Moe and Far are brothers, both more than 70 years old. They have always lived together in a remote house. After just a few laconic scenes, we find ourselves immersed in their ritual-driven everyday life: playing solitaire, solving crossword puzzles, taking cod liver oil. Moe likes to listen to music on the radio; Far prefers word games. They both love Western radio plays. Though they don't always get along, they can't live without each other either. Only once, many years ago, did Far leave the house for a short trip to Sweden. Suddenly, the phone rings. Far is told that his illegitimate adult son Konrad is coming to visit because his mother is seriously ill. Konrad wears a lemon-yellow tracksuit and sits in a wheelchair. His luggage consists solely of a box of bird eggs in varying sizes and colours. As the brothers join forces to ensure Konrad's well-being, their life together is thrown off balance. Will the trio succeed in finding a joint rhythm?
