Mysterious floating islands suddenly appear in the lake, forest creatures plod through the undergrowth, and an archaeologist measures the groundwater level of a peat field where some years previously she found an artefact (a wooden snake). In Saarlotta Virri's meditative cinematic essay, science and mythology orbit the mysteries of Finnish wetlands and swamps.
