Willkommen in Lübeck! In diesem Jahr verheißen die Nordischen Filmtage Glanz. Denn die Film-Liebhaber und Film-Schaffenden erleben eine ganz neue Präsentation ihres Festivals.
Bevor in den Kinos der Hansestadt die neuen Leinwand-Schätze des Nordens zu sehen sein werden, feiern wir die Eröffnung diesmal besonders groß und besonders festlich: Die Gala in der Lübecker MuK soll Appetit machen auf den großen Fächer an Filmen, den das Festival in diesem Herbst entfaltet. Der Akzent dieser Nordischen Filmtage ist weiblich: Froh bin ich über den außergewöhnlichen Eröffnungsfilm "Schwestern im Leben" von Wilfried Hauke. Für diese Arte-Produktion des NDR ist es gelungen, die drei Stars des Nordens Liv Ullmann, Bibi Andersson und Ghita Nörby zu einer einzigartigen Begegnung vor der Kamera zu bewegen. Das sind die Nordischen Filmtage und das sollen sie sein: ein Ort, der Premieren bietet für die Schätze des Fernsehens und des Kinos.

A Word of Welcome from the Director of NDR and President of ARTE
 
Welcome to Lübeck! This year, the Nordic Film Days promise to be particularly exciting. Film-goers and film-makers will find a whole new festival presentation. Before the latest Northern European film treasures are screened in the cinemas of this Hanseatic city, we shall be holding a magnificent inaugural celebration with a gala at MuK Lübeck to whet the appetite for the broad range of films to be presented at this autumn's festival. The emphasis this year is on women in the film industry. I am delighted that the festival is to open with the extraordinary film "Schwestern im Leben" by Wilfried Hauke. This Arte production by NDR uniquely features the three outstanding stars of the North, Liv Ullmann, Bibi Andersson and Ghita Nörby. And that is what the Nordic Film Days are all about: a place for premiers and fort he treasures of television and cinema.
