8th Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium

8th LÜBECK FILM STUDIES COLLOQUIUM

SING A SONG! & SCANDI-GERMAN EXCHANGES

For the eighth time this year, the Retrospective of the Nordische Filmtage Lübeck and the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema will jointly present the Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium. This year’s event will be dedicated to the theme of the Retrospective – pop music and musicals in Nordic and Baltic films – with a focus on Scandi-German exchanges, connections, and collaborations between the film cultures of Germany and Scandinavia, especially in the early film era. In addition, seminar groups and panel discussions with selected guests of the 63rd Nordische Filmtage will be dedicated to talking about current issues in modern cinema.

Anders Marklund, publisher of the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema, and senior lecturer at the University of Lund, alongside other experts, welcomes students and anyone else who is interested in film history.

The Lübeck Film Studies Colloquium is a cooperative venture between the Retrospective of the Nordische Filmtage Lübeck and the Journal of Scandinavian Cinema.
