CORONA – Rules and Regulations (as of: October 19, 2020)
In order to protect all visitors, guests, and staff, the 62nd Nordische Filmtage Lübeck will adhere to the following rules based on the current guidelines put out by the state of Schleswig Holstein (available in German here: aktuellen Corona-Schutzverordnung):
Registration of contact information
To enable contact tracing if necessary, anyone entering a cinema must register their contact information at the door. This registration form must be filled out for each screening or event that you attend. The form is available for download here. To help speed up the process, we request that you fill the form out at home and bring it with you to the cinema. You can enter your registration information directly into the PDF and print it, or you can print it and fill it out by hand (in block letters). If you forget, the blank forms are available at all festival venues. If you do not have a pen, a number of disinfected pens will be made available.
The form asks for the following information:
The data will be stored for four weeks following each event and made available to the authorities upon demand. The data collected will be used for the sole purpose of contact tracing in the event of an incidence of covid 19 exposure. Four weeks after registration, the data will be deleted and all contact forms will be destroyed. Invited guests to events at the 62nd Nordische Filmtage Lübeck will be asked for their contact information in advance.
To avoid as much contact as possible when buying tickets, we ask that as many people as possible purchase their tickets online in advance at www.nordische-filmtage.de or www.cinestar.de (advance sales begin Nov. 1, 2020, at 1pm). This will help reduce wait times at the box office of the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle. Tickets may be paid for with EC and credit cards. Please note that tickets for ALL NFL venues can be purchased in person ONLY at the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle box office. Due to corona virus regulations, the box offices of the other venues will not be open. Also please note that when purchasing tickets at the cinema box office, seat selection is possible according to the available seats.
New: Tickets for online streaming
In cooperation with Kulturserver gGmbH, selected films from the 62nd Nordische Filmtage Lübeck programme will be available for viewing online on the Culturebase platform. Access to streaming films can be purchased beginning with advance ticket sales starting Nov. 1, 2020, 1pm.
Films that are available for streaming are marked as such in the programme overview on the festival homepage; clicking on the link will send you to the Culturebase website. Events for which you have purchased streaming access will become available at the date and time they are screened live during the festival (starting Nov. 4, 2020) and remain available for 24 hours. Users who want to stream films from the 62nd Nordische Filmtage Lübeck will have to set up an account (e-mail and password) with Culturebase before purchasing access. Films can be “rented” for 7 euros (normal price) or 9 euros (which includes a 2 euro donation); after activation, the film is available for viewing for 24 hours. Payment can be made with a credit card or PayPal account. Please note that the streaming option is available only within Germany. Additional information on streaming will be provided soon. Regular ticket information is available here.
A mouth and nose covering is mandatory for all guests (age six or over) at all screenings and events at the 62nd Nordische Filmtage Lübeck. That includes in all cinemas and event venues, including the foyer, restrooms, and other public spaces, as well as in your seat during the screening or event. There will be an unused seat both between and in front of and behind every seat in the theatres. In order to ensure the integrity of the “checkerboard” seating arrangement, we regret that we will not be able to accommodate groups that want to sit together. Please note that the mask mandate also applies to queues outside the cinemas, including for the box office at the CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle.
Markings at 1.5-meter intervals indicate distancing requirements for all waiting areas. In order to avoid larger groups of people and maintain the minimum distance, we request that visitors refrain from gathering unnecessarily in the public spaces and aisles of the movie theatres and other venues, but move quickly to their seats, the restrooms, or the information counter. After the event, visitors should leave as quickly as possible via the specially-marked exits. Please observe the distancing markings and signage, and comply with the indicated flow.
The surfaces in the cinemas are cleaned regularly, alongside all other public spaces in the foyers, corridors, and restrooms. In addition, hand disinfectant stations are available for all visitors to the festival venues. The individual venues CineStar cinemas, Kolosseum, and Kommunales Kino each have their own hygiene plan. The Schuppen 6 venue follows the hygiene guidelines of the Nordische Filmtage Lübeck as set out here.
